LivTours · Piazza di Spagna

A small-group walk from the Spanish Steps

LivTours starts at the foot of the Spanish Steps and walks a group of six at most to Trevi, inside the Pantheon and on to Piazza Navona, with a gelato or coffee stop. Pick it for the small group and the Pantheon visit; the Steps themselves get about 15 minutes at the start.

Small-Group Centro Storico Walk with Gelato

About this experience

You meet in front of Babington's Tea Room, the 1893 English tea house at the bottom left of the Spanish Steps, where the guide holds a LivTours sign. The first 15 minutes are the Steps and the Barcaccia fountain. Then the walk goes to Trevi (25 minutes), Piazza Venezia, the ruins of Largo Argentina, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, two hours in all. The inclusions promise a group of only 6 people, and there's a private upgrade.

The Pantheon is the difference. The itinerary includes entry, and guests describe going inside with the guide. Two exceptions: on the first Sunday of the month and on the national holidays of 25 April, 2 June and 4 November entry isn't included, with no refund, and every guest needs ID matching the booking name. Shoulders and knees must be covered. A gelato or coffee stop is part of the price, and several guests rank it as the best gelato of their trip.

It's the dearest walk here at $148, about two and a half times the Tix & Tours walk. You're paying for the tiny group and the Pantheon ticket (€7 since July 2026), not for more time at the Steps. Tours run in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian; ask for another language in the booking notes.

  • A group of six at most, or go private
  • Starts right at the Spanish Steps, by Babington's
  • Inside the Pantheon with the guide (except first Sundays and holidays)

I’ve visited Rome many times but this was my first time going inside the Pantheon and experiencing it with Francesca’s insights allowed our group to truly appreciate its structure and importance. The walk itself was well paced, ending with a nice gelato break.

We loved making a wish at Trevi Fountain and learning about the boat fountain at piazza Spagna. We loved going inside the pantheon and learning about the history. Gelato at Gunther was a perfect ending! Book this tour!

Tips before you book

  • Avoid the first Sunday of the month: the Pantheon is free that day and LivTours can't include entry.
  • Bring the passport or ID card that matches the booking name.
  • Cover shoulders and knees. A scarf in your bag solves it in summer.
  • Arrive early and have a look up the Steps before the group gathers. Babington's is on the left as you face them.
  • Booking for a family? Ask about the private upgrade, so the guide works around your kids.
